The Greek Online Grocery sector experienced significant growth in the first half of 2023, with consumers continuing to choose Online stores for their needs. For the first half of 2023, the turnover of the sector increased by 15% and reached €153m at retail prices, including VAT, according to aggregated data collected on Convert Group’s eRetail Audit platform and calculations from our Market Analysis team.

During the first half of 2023, the Online Grocery Sector generated an estimated turnover of €153M, which represents a 15% increase from the same period in the previous year.
The primary driver of growth is the 11% increase in orders.
Even though the Average Number of Basket Items decreased by 9%, the Average Item Price increased by 9%.
During the first semester of 2023, Fresh Food experienced a 10% increase in sales value, while Cleaning Products & Paper for Household Use witnessed a 21% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
